==========
What's New
==========
This is a new version of the public demo release of Project: Starfighter.
Differences in this version include,
* A new intermission screen, where you will be able to upgrade the ship,
save the game and stuff like that.
* Some new graphics
* Another whole new enemy! :)
========
Controls
========
Up, Down, Left, Right - Move Ship / Cursor
Ctrl - Fire weapon / Select option
Space - Fire rockets / Select option
Escape - Leave sector (demo version only)
P - Pause (press Escape to quit back to title)
============
Installation
============
Simply unzip and run. If you get an error, you probably have not
installed the required SDL libraries (go back to homepage to get them!)
Or I may have not have provided all of them! ;)
===============
Getting started
===============
After the title sequence, you can either Start a New Game, Continue
or Quit. Right now the game is doing an experimental autosave at the
end of each mission. It shouldn't affect the game overall, but gives the
player a chance to continue at the mission they attempted
The next screen you will see is the intermission screen. Use the cursor
keys to control the cross hairs. Most of this section should be self
explainatory... More docs will be written when the game receives its
next release. To start a the next mission highlight the first icon on the buttom row,
"Start Next Mission"
and press ctrl or space to begin. You will be presented with the mission
brief screen. Press ctrl or space to begin.
==============
Known Problems
==============
There are probably some other things, but I can't remember off hand!
============
Future Stuff
============
* More missions (obviously)
* Proper save/load feature
* More stuff on the intermission screens
* More music, sound effects and other things
